The 2021 Saint-Joseph Blanc Les Vessettes shows up with a field blend of 50/50 Marsanne and Roussanne along with an electric synergy that rocks with a distinct Northern Rhône vibe. Old- vine Marsanne brings outstanding structure, young Roussanne brings aromatic lift. We’re talkin’ pure juice - ALL organic, hand-picked, wild fermented. After 20 years crafting Grand Vin for other estates (a.k.a. Yves Cuilleron), owner and winemaker Yann Menager doesn’t miss a beat on his own label. AND it’s not just grapevines that demand Yann’s attention. No, he’s all in - raising a menagerie of sheep, goats, and chickens which are used down the lane at his mother’s table d’hote.
Â
But back to the wine… Marsanne = power. Roussanne = perfume. When combined, they deliver a textured, full-bodied white with waxy richness and notes of melon, pear, peach skin, citrus zest, and wild herbs.
No heavy extraction, no new oak, no over manipulation in the vineyard or cellar. Simply, a vibrant, balanced Northern Rhône gem that echoes the purity of steep granite slopes and schist soils - fresh, fine, and fiercely local. Rumor has it that Yann’s small lot wines (only 400 cases of this one) enjoy a significant fan base in Lyon’s top restaurants. And we’ve got them here for you and your table for next to nothing. (You’re welcome)

Give this bottle a swirl with roasted chicken, duck, or turkey and fresh herbs, trout with beurre blanc, or a cream-based seafood alfredo dish. Drink it now or hold through 2028 (if you can wait that long!).
Hermitage synergy minus the massive price tag. Grab it NOW!
