Dense garnet with a purple core, expressive aromas of creme de cassis, pencil shavings, wet tobacco, wild blueberries, dark chocolate, dried violets, blackberry cobbler and crushed minerals bound out of the glass with ease. A power-packed palate of black fruits, figs, chocolate-covered cherries, creme brulee, and spiced mocha, all framed by exquisitely fine tannins that reinforce the structure and concentration of this offering.
Aged for 26 months in French oak, the wine is round and polished, with zero sharp edges and a stunning presence on the palate. You can taste Stagecoach Vineyard with every sip, and the remainder of the fruit comes from a few top sites in Rutherford, adding a dusty depth to the wine that adds nuance and personality.
