Chateau Tour de Pez is truly a cut above the Cru Bourgeois rough. An estate situated in the heart of the Medoc, they are known for growing exceptional fruit with soul and transparency. Since 1838, their history meanders through the sands of time, and although the town of Pez gained notoriety due to the ascension of the Grand Crus, make no mistake it was around well before any of them.

What’s more, it shares the same soil and topography as wines that cost 5-10 times as much or more.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Saint Estephe is a region that has become synonymous with excellence, and this tiny Chateau has consistently found its way into the conversation even amidst the big boys growing up around them. In the end, it’s all about what lies inside the bottle, and make no mistake, this family-owned producer consistently puts out superlative juice for a fraction of its neighbors.

Deep ruby in the glass, Merlot drives the bus here, but the Cabernet Sauvignon supports it with ease, creating a fantastic blend that typifies the region’s infamous style. Dark red fruits like currant, wild berries, and spiced cherries are rich and decadent, wrapped in a cloak of soft tannins that coat the mouth with great finesse and charm. A delightfully juicy and silky finish brings the entire imbibing experience into focus, reinforcing the quality of the fruit and the talent in the cellar.

We love Bordeaux.

It speaks to us in ways that only it can, Chateau Tour de Pez is one of those tiny producers that always makes a big splash.

Dive in and soak up every drop.
