Napa Valley BUCKLE UP – We’re Pouring over 150 YEARS of NAPA VALLEY HISTORY!! Back in 1870, gutsy Swiss-Italian immigrants tackled Howell Mountain's brutal, rocky slopes and planted the very first vines, kicking off a wild trail that legends have followed. Pioneers like Lee Stewart jumped in with bold Cabernet Sauvignon, while future icons Warren Winiarski (Stag’s Leap) and Mike Grgich (Grgich Hills) honed their craft right here before launching their own Napa Valley REVOLUTIONS.

Fast-forward to 1972, and Air Force pilot turned winemaker Tom Burgess takes the Burgess helm, teaming up with winemaking legend Bill Sorenson (who crushed an insane 41 harvests during his colorful career!), and starts crafting powerhouse mountain Cabs. Today, the crew honors it ALL with REGENERATIVE farming - keeping these historic vines thriving so the next generation can sip this epic story.

Mountain magic is real - steep slopes, volcanic ash soils, significant day to night temp changes – all culminate in that glorious telltale Howell Mountain Magic. Sorenson Vineyard is home to this classic hillside Napa Cab. Big, well-structured, fruit-way-forward, approachable, elegant, oak-influenced (22 months in 100% French oak) – it’s truly ALL THE THINGS. Dense, rich and layered with blackberry, currants, tobacco and sage all mingling with oak induced spice. Soft velvety tannins, gorgeous color retention, and priced to keep your glass full (and your wallet happy!). A go-to glass for grilled meats, rich pastas, Friday nights.

This is a no-brainer.

"Armed with blackberry, slate, and Italian herbs, its ample acidity keeps an old-world style on course for this heady red. Clove, nutmeg, white pepper, and espresso add a savory character to its high-profile finish."
