Click your heels together 3 times and say, “there’s no place like home.”

Well, when this bottle ends up in your house after you grab some, we guarantee you’ll be clicking your heels, jumping for joy, and licking your lips in excitement!

Former actor Fess Parker had one helluva dream, and even though he passed on, his vision is being steered by a team of talented and passionate people, led by Fess’s son and daughter, Eli and Ashley Parker. His vision to turn the Sta. Rita Hills into a vinous paradise has come true, and the 2018 Pommard Clone that bears his name showcases a distinctly unique expression of a single clone made famous by that uber-amazing region in France that is the home of Pinot Noir.

Sourced all from Ashley’s Vineyard, this has all the California love any Pinot enthusiast would ask for, with the tension, energy and varietal accuracy that Francophiles seek out. Silky red fruits lead the way, with aromas of bright cherries, pomegranates, dried strawberries, bacon, mushrooms, violets and hints of sea spray. A ripe and generous mid-palate brings notes of plums, forest floor, and smoked meats to the party, all wrapped in sultry tannins deliver a pleasured polish to the entire drinking experience.

Not even the wicked witch of the west could ruin this party, and if she tried, we’d be happy to bring the house down right on her while we guzzled from the bottle. And though you can follow the yellow brick road wherever you want, we'd encourage you to follow this luscious liquid red trail of Pinot heaven wherever it leads.

The crunch and tension in this wine is the thing that continues to stand out with time in the glass. It harnesses the energy of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA perfectly, reinforcing why this region has become such a force in the production of this finicky grape. Fruit forward with plenty of stuffing, this is a Pinot dreamlike state in the flesh that delivers a tornado of flavor from first sip to last.

And we know you have the brain, heart, and courage to make the right choice.

Whether you’re in Kansas, California, or somewhere in between, home is where your wine is.

Grab a few bottles and let’s go see the wizard together!

Decanter

Former actor Fess Parker purchased the 289ha Foxen Canyon Ranch in 1988, initially to run cattle with a few acres of vineyard. Eli Parker and his sister Ashley Parker Snider now run the estate, inspired by their late father’s vision. Their Pommard Clone Pinot Noir aims to show a very particular terroir expression, all sourced in their Ashley’s Vineyard Block W. Aged 17 months in 100% French oak, 44% new. Ronan Sayburn MS: Rich, full and ripe, very silky tannins and grippy acidity. Dark cherry and strawberry confiture, bacon and sundried tomato. James Doidge MW: Smoky aromas, roasted meat and mushroom, elegant and earthy, concentrated and savoury, minty and herbal. Sophisticated and nuanced, combining lush fruit with the savoury notes, and a long finish, with elegance and finesse. Sarah Knowles MW: Pure red fruit and fresh, bright and driven style.
