Cabernet with altitude (and attitude). Good luck, we hope your order gets through checkout before today’s steal of a DEAL is gone! The David Arthur Vineyards “Three Acre” Cabernet Sauvignon shows just how powerful mountain-grown Napa Cab can be. At over 1,000 feet above the valley floor, Clone 337 soaks up long hours of sun, delivering ripe, concentrated fruit from its tiny, thick-skinned berries. Forty years of organic farming on Pritchard Hill - where volcanic soils and rocky terrain give David Arthur Vineyards its signature power and finesse.
Small but mighty, David Arthur’s certified organic “Three Acre” vineyard packs serious soul and power into every bottle. In 2001, father-daughter team, Laura and David Long, planted this tiny vineyard to Cab and Nebbiolo. The red-tinged volcanic, low-yield soils deliver generous fruit, and firm, no-nonsense tannins. This particular high-altitude beast - pure Cab power at 1,147 feet - unleashes a floral frenzy of cassis, cedar, and black cherries, charging into ripe blueberries, fig, and velvety tannins that strut with finesse and just a little grit.
After 20 months in French oak, the wine emerges full-bodied and bold, with layers of dark fruit, spice, and grippy tannins that carry through a long, commanding finish. Food-friendly, flavor- packed, a little defiant, and more than willing to dominate any ribeye showdown, the DAV Three Acre Cab is a keeper!

"Cool and very pretty aromas and flavors with a bay-leaf undertone to the blueberry and blackcurrant character. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a flavorful finish. Pretty precision to this."
- James Suckling
