Smokinā with no less than FOUR 96+ point scores and pulling down at least three perfect 100-point love letters from well-known wine critics... Jeb Dunnuck, the 2021 Dominus Estate Red is already a legend. A killer blend of 95% Cab Sauv and 5% Cab Franc from Yountvilleās iconic 124-acre Napanook Vineyard, Dominus Estate is the Napa Valley property and Bordeaux-inspired vision of Christian Moueix (Yes! the mastermind behind ChĆ¢teau PĆ©trus!).

Located at the foothills of the Mayacamas, the Napanook Vineyard was planted in 1838 and continues to evolve under the savvy stewardship of Christian Moueix. Fully invested in minimal intervention, Moueix dry-farms, hand sorts, and keeps new French oak at around 40%. Moueix selected the name DominusāLatin for "lord of the estate"āto emphasize his deep and enduring dedication to the land and terroirās profound ability to speak through the wine.
The 2021 vintage is big, bold, powerfully built and unwaveringly vibrant, showing ongoing depth and delivering ambitious fruit, lively acidity, tightly-woven structure and a remarkable, enduring chalky finish. This bottle is delicious now, showing precision and depth, but will only get better (and better) with another 5 to 10 years, while being completely capable of aging extremely well for another two decades ā if you happen to be gifted with patience in the sight of pure vinous pleasure.
Dominus is there for the āurge to splurgeā moments of life and will gratify the glass on all sorts of occasions ā birthdays (birth years), holidays, anniversaries, graduations ā the big events with the big dinners to boot and pair with dishes of distinction (and lots of meat). While the wine is big, the tannins are well-managed and ripe for food even while the bottle is in its youth.
With only 3,700 cases of the 2021 vintage produced, this is a go big or go home wine. Now is the moment, this kind of bottle doesnāt last long and when itās gone⦠well, itās really and truly gone. Donāt Miss Out! Score it NOW, before itās history.

"One of the legendary Dominus, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is unquestionably in the same league as the 2018, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2010, and 1991, and to my mind, wine simply doesn't get any better. Sporting a dense purple hue as well as an incredible perfume of blackcurrants, crushed stone, cedar pencil, smoke tobacco, and baking spices, it s rich, full-bodied, and voluptuously textured, with ripe yet building tannins. It reminds me slightly of the 2010 (maybe the 2013), and I suspect it will have a similar evolution. Hide bottles for 7-8 years, and it will evolve gracefully for 30+ years. Hats off to the team of Christian Moueix and director Tod Mostero."

"Superbly aromatic, polished, and balanced. Tannins are plump, pliant, and extremely long, with a beautiful velvety quality. Ripe blackberry, spiced plums, and black cherry fruits are super-expressive and imbued with this spicebush note, which is a shrub bush that grows near the vineyard and, when crushed in the palm of your hand in the thick of summer, reveals a high-toned minty-citrusy note, which is very present on the palate. The minerality is perfectly expressed as iron and stone, and the finish is exceedingly long, nuanced by mocha, loamy earth, and wildflowers, and resolves with tremendous freshness. Just splendid."
