This bottle captures the essence of the Sonoma Coast AVA: lively, playful, and a little mischievous. Think Midsummer Night’s Dream, but with a distinctly Californian twist.

Thanks to the cool coastal climate, the grapes retain lively acidity and deliver vibrant fruit character - largely bright cherry and strawberry wrapped in fragrant floral notes. A touch of earth and remarkable balance offer outstanding food pairing possibilities. Fresh, radiant, and made to play nice with everything from smoked salmon and roasted duck to wild mushrooms and brie. Elegant and immensely approachable, Metzker crafts cheery California Pinot with a decidedly Burgundian heart.

Metzker Family Estates is a boutique, family-run winery founded in 2014 by Mike Metzker (who’s actually a genetics and genomics scientist by trade). They build wines that flaunt their rich regional roots, happily sourcing grapes from the A-list vineyards of Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley, Howell Mountain, and more. Winemaker John Martin is everywhere: in the vineyard, in the cellar, even shaking up sales and marketing. His passion is contagious, and every bottle carries forward his vinous vision and enthusiasm.
